Diversion came to Wakefield for three nights with a cast of twenty young people ready
to showcase their skills. Ten of these had never performed in front of a large audience
and it did not show. Their parents were extremely proud. The show featured an array
of dance styles and techniques along with song and dance to showcase the newly formed
youth dance company. This show had something for everyone as well as introducing
brand new talent of young dancers from around the region. At present the company
consisted of 20 performers of various ages and backgrounds and worked extremely hard
in rehearsals for the show. They have performed at various events and platforms around
the country, however Diversion will be the first time the company had performed together.
A specially produced program was professional made and was sponsored by Wakefield College. This booklet introduced the cast and Dimension Dance founders to the wider community.
For those who missed out on the show and for those who would like to re-
Dimension dance would very much like to thank Mark Johnson and Marie Dalton for all their time and effort. These guys spent a lot of their spare time designing and producing a fantastic array of lights. They produced a display that would make Wembley proud. Thank you once again guys.
