Dimension Dance performed at the Lawrence Batley Theatre in Huddersfield as part of DANSOPOLIS.
DANSOPOLIS is a diverse programme showcasing examples of the best community dance in Yorkshire.
Dimension Dance applied earlier this year and was selected with a small number of other Youth companies to perform for this prestigious event.
The day began with all of us meeting at Wakefield College at 10:15am. We all then set off to Huddersfield and arrived at the theatre for 11:10am.
After settling in, we all went through a technical run within our 30 minute slot.
We then had few hours break before we were called through for a de-briefing. The girls spent those few hours the only way girls spend their free time (shopping!!) When we finally arrived back at the theatre and whilst we waited for the audience to arrive, Louise put the finishing touches to the dance routine.
At 7:15pm we all took our seats and watched the first half of the show.
During the interval the girls then prepared themselves for their performance in the second half.
Ella Daley, Katie Parling, Abbie Hardisty, Kirsty Hardwick and Amber Myers all then performed the fantastically entertaining performance of SKIRMISH which the audience showed their appreciation.
We would like to thank Yorkshire Dance for allowing us to perform on the night.
